What is GI Oncosurgery?

Gastrointestinal oncology is a specialty that focuses on cancers that originate in the digestive tract. Gastrointestinal cancer accounts for 26% of global cancer incidence and 35% of all cancer-related deaths. In the early stages of cancer, symptoms may be absent or mild and nonspecific.
