Robotic Surgeries

Robotic surgery, also known as robot-assisted surgery, allows doctors to perform many types of complex procedures with more precision, flexibility, and control than is possible with traditional techniques. Robotic surgery is usually associated with minimally invasive procedures, where procedures are performed through small incisions. It is also sometimes used in some traditional open surgical procedures.

The most commonly used clinical robotic surgical system includes a camera arm and mechanical arms with attached surgical instruments. The surgeon checks the arms sitting in front of a computer console near the operating table. The console provides the surgeon with a magnified, high-resolution 3D view of the surgical site. The surgeon guides the other members of the team who help him during the operation.
